Sunset on Freedom Bridge-Half origional size print on canvas (70x55cm)

When the sun sets behind Gellert Hill on the Buda side of the river, it is dazzling and actually very quick. Everything seemed to revolve around the sun as I squinted to see what was going on and of course, paint. In fact I painted most of this 'on site' and only finished of back at the studio. I find it quite strange painting in public especially when it's only the most unusual people who stop and rather than wanting a conversation, purely want to talk at me. Still, it was fun and if you look closely at the shadows you'll see in what order I painted them. Thanks to Steph for carrying the picture back in quite strong wind, without smudging it.
