This is an imaginary image that invokes a feeling of peace and comfortable solitude in me. I like traveling alone with all the dangers and potential that come with it. It can be calm but you never quite know what will be next. I tried to capture this good insecurity in this painting. Nevertheless, everyone I talk to about the picture have a different story to put to it.

 <br><br>This idea of three spheres, each a prime colour came to me as I dreamily watched birds floating over the Danube. I like the image of floating spheres in space and for some reason, I like this distribution - 2 close together and 1 further away. It is a similar distribution to the tear drops on the Cut Flower although I painted this first.  - This is a difficult picture to see on the computer screen so I will explain it in a little detail. I have painted myself in the top left, lying on my side with a strong bedside light casting strong shadows across my face. I am sleeping and dreaming of the nude girl who splits the picture in half, blue to the right of her, red/brown to the left. One side reality, one side in a dream. Perhaps though she is dreaming of me. I like the striking contrast of this picture, one of the few I kept from my time in Thailand.'))
