 <br><br> Certainly one of my favorites. At 1 meter high and with the vibrant orange color, the picture is very eye catching. I went for a non phallic image with a few tear drops on the leaves. I like to think that are tears of happiness although a few people who have had different experiences in their lives have commented that they see it the other way.

<br><br> Thick oil is used to depict a spring flower growing through autumn leaves. It was a very warm winter last year and as a result confused all the wild life. Spring flowers were popping up everywhere.

This was the second really thick paintings I did. The first was the same image but since you only get one go with each knife stroke, I had a lot to learn. I applied my new knowledge to this painting. It was such great fun and gave me the confidence to paint the Shimmer painting. Because they are such expensive paintings to paint, it took some courage to throw 100 GBPs of paint at 1 painting. <br><br>Editions are Limited to 5 full size prints - only 3 left.
